These tapes feature a Diamond-Like Carbon coating protective layer, which improves durability and helps prevent shedding and drop out. EX grade tape has 2dB higher carrier to noise ratio (vs. PR) making it ideal for LP recording and fewer dropouts. They have the same quality as the Sony DVM-60 EXM and EXM2, but doesn't have the shot-logging memory chip. Each tape is capable of 90 minutes of recording time in LP mode or 60 minutes in SP mode. They are suitable for all MiniDV camcorders from Sony, Panasonic, Canon, JVC, Sharp, and others.
