Manufacturer Description
Like the name says, these binoculars are made for water. Splash them, soak them, dunk them - and they'll emerge 100% fog free and dry inside. Perfect for skiers, snowmobilers, anglers and kayakers. True waterproof construction and a rugged, non-slip rubber design makes the H2O series a simple choice for those whose lifestyle borders on the hyper side of active. O-ring sealed and nitrogen-purged for waterproof/fogproof protection in any season, both the fully and the multi-coated optics render bright, clear images. Take them with you - everywhere.
Specifications for this Bushnell binocular include: - Magnification: 10x
- Objective lens: 25mm
- Field of view at 1,000 yards: 305 feet
Tech Talk Objective Lens: The diameter of the objective or front lens. The larger the objective lens, the more light that enters the binocular, and the brighter the image.
Field of View (F.O.V.): The side-to-side measurement of the circular viewing field or subject area. It is defined by the width in feet or meters of the area visible at 1000 yards or meters. A wide angle binocular features a wide field of view and is better for following action. Generally, the higher the magnification, the narrower the field of view.
Roof Prism System: In roof prism binoculars the prisms overlap closely, allowing the objective lenses to line up directly with the eyepiece. The result is a slim, stream-lined shape in which the lenses and prisms are in a straight line.

Included in the Box: My goal was to have an relatively inexpensive pair of binoculars to have with me in my canoe whenever I paddle. This pair has filled that need admirably. For my purpose the waterproof feature was necessary. The small lens lets in plenty if light during the day so that has not been a problem; I suppose there is a point towards getting dark that these would not work well but a better larger lens pair would, but certainly not at this price. I would like a slightly larger field of vision, and perhaps more weight would make holding them steady easier, but as noted for my use these are fine; mainly getting a better look at birds in the distance. Small and light makes them easy to keep around.
