The zipper is heavy duty. Nothing is cheap about this bag. It's just the right size and fits in my trunk (Maxima). I shoot weddings and take this bag filled with (2) 10' light stands, (1) Promaster Tripod, (2) 32" umbrellas, (1) light pole, (2) extension cords. There is also a side zippered pocket that holds hardware/brackets. This is a really nice bag for the price and would highly reccomend this one if you want/need to carry several stands/tripod.
